  • No citations from the ACGME for the last six years. Excellent ACGME resident & faculty survey results [only 2 areas below 95 % compliance!]
  • Retention of more than 99% of teaching faculty with the program.
  • ABIM ITE: 60% of residents scored above the 90th percentile! And ABIM first attempt board pass rate 94% [all but one resident passed]
  • Research productivity at 1.7 projects/resident/year on average for the 22-23 academic year. Excellent collaboration of our residents/faculty with NSU- MD and -DO students,
    leading to several manuscripts’ presentations. Program won the ACP dilemma competition in March 2023.
  • 75% fellowship match rate – 3 of 4 fellows seeking fellowship training matched into the program of their choice in Critical Care, Infectious Disease, and Nephrology.
  • Several faculty members were appointed to professional organizations & leadership roles.
  • Diversity is one of the program’s strengths, its residents represent a diverse multiethnic group of individuals, coming from countries like Brazil, Cameroon, Sudan, India, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Tanzania.
  • Program implemented a unique night shift schedule and a cross-coverage schedule that allows residents to consistently have two days off per week,
